Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will develop, design and manage tooling and fixtures used to manufacture chassis components at the Boaz Plant utilizing solid works 3d software.

• Design of all tooling and fixturing through development, release, build, and life cycle management.
• Coordinate with the Tool Room on production of tooling and tool room support of the shop floor.
• Provide technical advice and expertise to solve manufacturing equipment and tooling problems in a timely manner to achieve plant production plans on time and within budget to insure continuity of production.
• Work with maintenance to facilitate any repairs which need the tool room to build or modify parts for equipment which may either be worn or broken.

Required Skills

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in a Engineering or technical related field or 5 year minimum experience in design of tooling using 3d software packages
• Knowledge and experience in CNC machining, tooling, or metal cutting industry.
• 3D Design of tooling and fixturing for metal cutting industry using solid works or Pro E.
