FT - Hourly Dining Center Supervisor (Morrison, TN)TN, Morrison

Five Star Food Service is hiring for a Dining Center Shift Leader/Supervisor. This position will be responsible for working directly with team members and General Manager. Dining Center Shift Leader/Supervisor are required to be aware of the current state of the dining center and make decisions that result in successful operations. We'll teach you our models and methodologies and you'll grow as a leader and manager.

Dining Center Shift Leaders/Supervisor responsibilities include:

  • Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to Five Star Food Service recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards.
  • Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
  • Monitors preparation of items for broiling, grilling, frying, sauteing or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinating.
  • Assumes 100% responsibility for the quality of products served.
  • Training staff and effectively communicating expectations; including monitoring daily performance of staff
  • Consistently inspecting areas of assigned responsibility and monitoring standards and making recommendations for change (menu, pricing, staffing levels, etc.)
  • Complying with established Five Star Food Service standards and local health department codes
  • Consistently taking actions necessary to implement staff promotions, training, and disciplinary action
  • Responsible for maintaining appropriate cleaning schedules for kitchen floors, mats, walls, hoods, other equipment, and food storage areas.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs+; on a repetitive basis and have the ability to reach, bend, stoop on a frequent basis.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Work around others in close quarters.
  • Must be able to obtain ServSafe Certification.
  • Must be able to consent to a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Must be able to consent to a pre-employment background check.
  • Ability to follow workplace safety policies and guidelines.
