ECN Quote Analyst
Job Purpose:
Responsible for the preparation and coordination of Request for Quotations (RFQ's) for materials components, subassemblies and/or services based on quote requirements received from various departments within the organization (i.e. Program Management, Sales). Analyzes quotations for content in addition to preparing complete costs analyses. Defines needs, clarifies discrepancies and determines the structure of BOM. Monitor RFQ through process and resolve issues that come up. Complete costing information including generation of costed BOM's, identifying exceptions and assumptions, and identifying and documenting all unique costs and issues. Responsible for supplier selection, make/buy decisions, interfacing with sales and customer to resolve issues. At the highest level, may also be responsible for watching technology trends and preparing cost reduction and other recommendations based on those trends.
Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:
Develops, analyzes, audits and evaluates product cost information within established guidelines.
Interfaces with manufacturing engineering, design engineering, procurement, sales and marketing to prepare product cost estimation analysis for the purposes of price quotation, new product design, internal cost information requests and cost reductions/increases.
Demonstrated ability to read /interpret multi-level BOMs and product drawings, Sugar CRM, Quote Win.
Effectively and efficiently manage PCBA and HLA quotes from the point of understanding customer requirements to presenting a completed quote package back to sales.
Work with Sales to understand the winning value proposition. Work with sales to obtain missing documentation and set the right expectations.
Work with the material team, plant team and other support teams to determine the commit date for the quote.
Monitor and manage the quote to meet the commitments (deliverables and due dates).
Education and Experience:
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent experience
5 years experience in PCB and box build manufacturing and quoting preferred
Strong Excel skills to include math formulas and VLOOKUPs
