Project Overview and Role

Palladium is a consortium member of the USAID funded Data for Impact (D4I) Project. D4I supports countries to generate and use high-quality data to improve their programs, policies, and-ultimately-health outcomes. It also strengthens the technical and organizational capacity of country partners to collect, analyze, and use data to support their sustainable development.

The D4I team has run a study to identify behavioral barriers and enablers to the use of evaluation findings of USAID global health programs. The team will now carry out an experimental study to test what messaging works to increase health decision makers' willingness to use evidence for decision making.

Palladium is currently seeking an analyst to support the design and implementation of the study. The role will focus on experiment set up, data collection and statistical analysis. The period of performance will be between August 2023 and February 2024, with up to 28 days of work over the entire period. The work will be home based. The analyst will report to the D4I Activity Lead, who is based in the United Kingdom. This is a junior-level position.

This role does not need to be carried out from the United States and can be based anywhere.



Analyst Responsibilities

-The analyst will support the design and implementation of the experimental study. Specifically, the analyst will:
-Contribute to the design of the study methodology and experiment tools.
-Set up the experiment(s) in Qualtrics.
-Collate the data from Qualtrics.
-Carry out statistical analysis of the data to inform the final report.
-Write select sections of the research protocol and final report, as needed.
-Participate in meetings with the D4I team and the client, as needed.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

-Experience designing and implementing experimental studies in psychology, behavioral science, behavioral economics or other related field (either as part of advanced academic study such as a PhD program or in a professional setting).
-Experience carrying out statistical analysis (either as part of advanced academic study such as a PhD program or in a professional setting).
-Experience using Qualtrics.
-Experience using statistical software.
-Degree in statistics, behavioral science, behavioral economics, psychology, or other relevant field.

Skills and Competencies

-Excellent statistical analysis and research skills.
-Excellent attention to detail.
-Ability to work independently and solve day-to-day problems.
-Ability to work in a dynamic and agile environment with changing requirements and priorities.
-Strong communication skills, including ability to communicate with a diverse team in a virtual setting.
-Fluency in English.
