This position is located at Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands

Essential Functions
  • Site Lead for the Roi Telemetry Center.
  • Perform pre mission setup of Telemetry Receivers, Recorders, Analog Multiplexers and Auto Tracking Antennas.
  • Participate in test range activities.
  • Troubleshoot complex receive and record systems using Spectrum Analyzer, Power Meter, Oscilloscope, Signal Generators and other test equipment
  • Analyze site sensor performance and create post mission products.
  • Conduct pre and post mission briefings.
  • Coordinate and work with mission customers for requirements.
  • Maintain documentation and instruct others in support of test mission.
  • Site property custodian, security custodian and comsec custodian.
  • Following all appropriate procedures. Conduct facility and safety inspections.
  • Configure custom software application written in Python used to interface telemetry equipment.
  • Configure Linux and Microsoft based systems in a network environment.
  • Work at remote sites in hot and humid environments.
  • Climb Towers at high at 225' to repair antenna systems.
  • Refurbishment of TM antennas
Required Skills
  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of Telemetry, antennas, receivers, recorders and other ground station equipment.
  • Knowledge of Linux and Windows workstations and Networking equipment.
  • Knowledge of IRIG standards and testing procedures.
  • Use of test equipment to include Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Bit Error Rate Tester, Signal Generators.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills. Must be able to take on tasks with very little guidance.
  • Knowledge of RF to Fiber optic equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
Required Experience
  • Associate degree in electronics, or a two year technical school, or equivalent military experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Eight (8) or more years' of electronic related experience
  • Experience in Networking and TMoIP data transport.
  • Experience in Linux and Windows operating system required.
  • Programing in Python and C++ highly desired

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. of electronic equipment, work on antenna pedestals.
  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.
  • This position is unaccompanied.
  • Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD secret security clearance, which includes U.S. Citizenship or U.S. naturalization
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License required.
