Job Description
Aircraft Painter, Req. 1861, 1862, 1863, 1864, 1865

An Aircraft Painter coats the surfaces of an aircraft with paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin or
other material, using brushes, rollers, spray guns and other devices. The aircraft painter
removes old paint from aircraft, using liquid paint remover and scraper. Prepares the
aircraft for paint by masking and sanding the aircraft and parts. Primes and paints aircraft
and aircraft parts. Has general knowledge of technical manuals and painting processes.
Reads and follows work instructions. Maintains all documentation throughout process;
documentation is legible and per QMS and/or customer requirements. Assembles
materials and resources needed for the position; cleans equipment properly. Performs
other duties as assigned.

1.Must be familiar with applying mil-spec coatings on military aircraft.
2.Must be familiar with laying out stencils utilizing detailed engineering drawings/documents
3.Must be familiar with surface preparation on large aluminum aircraft.


EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
HS - Required

One year general experience
