*Estimated annual base pay:$154,349 (minimum) - $192,936 (midpoint) - $231,523 (maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark?If you're a Government Contracting Director, we have an exciting opportunity for you.This position reports to the Vice President, Government Contracting. This is an enterprise-wide role within the corporate function and will also have direct oversight and input within the business groups. This role will establish and lead a Center of Expertise for ensuring the Company's compliance with US Government Contract Regulations (as both a prime contractor and a subcontractor), and incorporating all government accounting and US Government compliance related processes. Primary responsibilities include supporting strategy development and implementation, the effective execution of Woodward's government contracting activities, and ensuring financial accounting, reporting, disclosure, contracts and other government contracting activities are in compliance with all rules, regulations and policies, while achieving business objectives. This position is intended to become the successor to the Vice President, Government Contracting, subject to meeting qualification criteria at such time.

What You Will Be Doing

*Identify, prioritize, and coordinate government contracting organizational and other requirements across Woodward corporate and business groups.

*Collaborate with in-house legal counsel regarding U.S. Government Contracting issues requiring legal oversight, general awareness, or direct involvement

*Develop strategic plans and process to maintain, grow, divest, and commercialize (where appropriate) government business, including business where Woodward serves as a subcontractor or supplier

*Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, CAS and TINA, as applicable.

*Effectively interface and support government organizations, such as the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and the Defense Contract Management Command (DCMA).

What We Are Looking For

*Strong strategic thinker with ability to view big-picture, high level issues and demonstrated ability to successfully deploy strategies, systems and processes.

*Strong technical knowledge of government contracting regulations (e.g. FAR, DFARS, CAS, TINA)

*Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively work across the organization and business segments and exhibits a service-oriented mentality.

*Strong project management, communication, and presentation skills. Innovative thinking and ability to effectively influence and/or drive appropriate change.

-Required Experience:

*15+ years' experience in the aerospace and defense industry

*10+ years' experience in a senior leadership role

*10+ years' experience of related work in government contracting

*5+ years' experience leading simple to complex financial projects

*Proficiency in large fully integrated accounting systems (SAP).
