  • Estimated annual base pay: $61,600 (minimum) - $77,000 (midpoint) - $92,400 (maximum). Plus, overtime.

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're a Field Service Engineer, we have an exciting opportunity for you. The Field Service Engineer Installs, repairs and modifies Woodward control systems (hardware and software) at the customer's location.

What you will be doing

  • Repairs, replaces or modifies equipment utilizing the knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical systems, along with using standard test instruments and hand tools
  • Performs and oversees the installation or replacement of equipment and control software.
  • Uses Woodward hardware and software to analyze malfunctions, configure systems and tune/adjust dynamics
  • Instructs customers in operating and servicing Woodward equipment
  • Consults with engineering to resolve problems in order to meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Escalate product improvement opportunities and customer feedback to engineering and management

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering desired or an associate degree in a technical field with additional relevant 2 years' experience required
  • Basic knowledge in specialized technical field or product family or wide spectrum of general knowledge
  • Ability to work with personal computers and basic software applications
  • Ability to understand and apply system concepts
  • Able to meet customer needs under minimal supervision
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and pressure
  • Basic skills in problem solving and trouble-shooting
  • Ability to communicate with different cultures
  • Physical Demands:
    • Requires high level of manual dexterity and ability to work in confined spaces.
    • 60-80% travel required, both domestic and international.
    • Must be able to travel on short notice and for extended periods of time.
    • Irregular work hours and extra hours expected.
