Mission:

Quantum is currently seeking a qualified individual to provide professional support as a Software System Analyst. This is a software engineering position supporting a government software office addressing Army Air and Missile Defense systems, with focus on Mission Command systems. The software engineer must be highly organized with a strong technical background in computing hardware, software and/or networking.

The candidate in this role will function within the project office's software directorate and will work with both contractors, government civilians and system operators. The candidate must be a self-starter and comfortable in a fast-paced working environment and be willing to engage various levels of stakeholders to ensure the software developed is capable of meeting the needs of the intended users.

Responsibilities:

• The individual must be familiar with Unix or Linux operating systems and computer networks is required.
• The candidate must have familiarity the following programing languages:
  • C++
  • Java
  • Python, or Ada.
  • Modular Open Systems Architectures.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Candidate must be a resident of Huntsville, Alabama or willing to relocate to the area.
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college / university in mathematics, physics, or engineering is required and 10 or more years of experience in developing scientific or tactical software systems.
• Candidate should have excellent communication skills, experience working with both development staff and end users and strong work ethic.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Secret security clearance.

Desired Skills:

• Software system development experience in support of DoD programs is preferred, especially in an Army Air and Missile Defense program is highly desired.
• Experience with software systems engineering and software testing in an Agile methodology highly desired. SAFe Agile experience a plus.
