This role is part of Enterprise Technology (ET), where we're developing the digital infrastructure needed to build the road to space, with an emphasis on digital capabilities required to advance Blue Origin's mission. Enterprise Technology is the center of excellence for digital technology at Blue Origin, providing oversight and governance to align technology and business strategies.

We're looking for an experienced leader with a deep understanding of warehouse automation technology to lead transformational warehouse automation and logistics programs. You'll work with developers to drive projects to completion, serve as a liaison between business units, oversee multiple projects, and build and maintain client relations. Your role will help define client outcomes at strategic and executional levels and implement technology-enabled, disruptive strategies and solutions to drive growth for customers. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Accountable for establishing vision and owning problem resolution processes for warehouse automation and logistics across the Enterprise Technology team.

  • Create, measure, and optimize the warehouse automation and logistics technology roadmap, including building a partnership with warehouse robotics leadership to define total technology roadmap to meet end state need

  • Partner with software operations program leaders to create and own strategy, tools, operational rhythms, and other mechanisms to measure, monitor and optimize these projects.

  • Drive the creation, documentation, and adoption of scalable, standardized, and highly visible technology and related technical processes across supply chain, manufacturing operations functions, and related functions.

  • Partner with business teams on scalable standardized approaches to meet their demand, enable growth, and improve customer satisfaction and solution adoption.

  • Develop and manage technical requirements for complex systems, with the ability to decompose technical requirements for test into software and hardware requirements aligned with development, manufacturing, and verification test strategy.

  • Manage a large number of dependencies across many engineering disciplines to ensure that development schedules are met.

  • Establish and own reporting mechanisms, business strategy documents, and operating rhythms; Collaborating with systems, architecture, hardware, software, teams on ensuring cross-functional deliverables are tracked and reported.

  • Provide feedback on cost-inefficient or detrimental processes.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent

  • 10+ years of Technical Product or Software Management experience. Hands-on experience in warehouse automation and logistics, including custom software design.

  • Experience working with Software Development, Manufacturing Operations, Quality, Engineering, and other business functions to create end-to-end solutions.

  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.

  • Outstanding customer relationship skills

  • Fully competent in a variety of project management tools, methodologies and techniques

  • Experience in Jira, Confluence/Wiki, and Kanban style management

  • Master's degree in relevant fields or experience in aerospace applications preferred

  • Experience with multiple manufacturing models focused on rate as we
