Job Description

Staffmark is hiring a Customer Service/Restaurant Operations Associate with a warm, welcoming vibe and professional attitude in Lynchburg, TN. You will be responsible for coordinating restaurant operations and promoting the sale of home goods merchandise at the gift shop. Our partner company, Jack Daniel Distillery, is seeking a motivated and upbeat candidate with strong customer service, computer, and communication skills, where the gift of gab will set you apart and help you build lasting, worthwhile relationships and an exciting career!


Pay: $15.91 per hour

Schedule: Rotating shifts including weekends and holidays


Essential Functions:

  • Greeting customers, responding to questions, improving engagement with restaurant and merchandise, and providing outstanding customer service through superior product knowledge.
  • Taking guest orders and assigning them to tables.
  • Answering phones, checking voicemails, and returning calls about reservations and company questions.
  • Effectively communicating with kitchen, hostesses, check-in, and servers to ensure smooth restaurant operation.
  • Assisting guests with information about store merchandise for sale, brand and local history, distillery tours, and Miss Mary Bobo's.
  • Operating cash registers, managing financial transactions, and balancing drawers. Take deposits to the accounting department.
  • Cross-selling and upselling products to increase purchase sales. Restocking merchandise as needed.
  • Utilize an inventory/retail/restaurant point of sale (POS) system (Lightspeed), Reservation System (Xola), Excel, Google Docs, and Microsoft Word.

Requirements: High school diploma or GED, detail-oriented, prior customer service/retail experience is preferred, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and strong computer/customer service skills. Lifting requirements are up to 50 pounds.
