Position Overview

Riverside Research is seeking an Associate Director to develop and grow our existing formalized security team. This team is currently developing mathematical tools and methods for analyzing and assessing the security of complex systems. These range from low layer physical communication systems to system bootloaders to application software. As a key member of our Secure and Resilient Systems team, the Associate Director will pursue and grow opportunities with government research organizations (e.g., DARPA, IARPA, service lags, etc.), lead existing R&D contracts, and transition technology into our other business units. The Associate Director will interface with team members across Riverside Research locations and report to the Secure and Resilient Systems Director. The Associate Director will set the direction in leading a diverse team responsible for developing this research area. They will also oversee technical marketing and proposal writing. The Associate Director should have hands on experience in some of the following areas: cryptography, formal methods, theorem proving, cryptanalysis, and software development. This position can be located in Lexington, MA or Dayton, OH.

Responsibilities

* Innovating new solutions to challenging security problems
* Mentoring junior scientists and setting direction on formal methods research and development efforts
* Technical proposal development to include idea generation, writing, reviewing, and editing
* Lead capture activities, to include strategy workshops, opportunity gate reviews, black hat sessions, colaboration sessions, proposal reviews, and opportunity shaping
* Interact routinely with all Business Units, infrastructure POCs, staff, and customers, and follow through on tasks

Qualifications

Required:

* MS or PhD degree, preferred in related technical field, and 10+ years experience in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, or cybersecurity field
* Secret security clearance
* Leadership skills to develop, organize, and execute significant capture activites, including building industry teams, assessing win probability, and executing customer call plans
* Experience with formal methods research and development

* Top Secret security clearance
* Healthy balance between technical orientation and business acumen
* Ability to gain internal support, operate independently with limited supervision and feedback, and establish solid working relationship with technical staff, dividion managers, and peers across the company
* Superior written and verbal communication skills

Global Comp
$225,000 - $245,000 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.
