Pay Range Information
Chapman University is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position. This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Salary offers are determined based on the final candidate's qualifications and experience, as well as internal equity and other internal factors. The anticipated pay range is not a promise of a particular wage.
Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary
The Accreditation and Assessment Assistant plays a crucial role supporting the accreditation-related activities and ensuring compliance with established standards. Responsibilities encompass maintaining accurate documentation of accreditation standards, policies, and procedures, as well as preparing documentation for accreditation reviews and reports. The assistant collects data and supports ongoing assessment activities and generates reports to facilitate program improvement. Serving as a communication liaison, they act as the main point of contact for data collection. Additionally, the assistant identifies opportunities for process improvement, implements enhancements to streamline processes, and stays updated on changes in accreditation standards. They also provide training and support to staff on accreditation data and assessment activities and offer administrative support by scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and maintaining organized file systems. Overall, the role is essential in ensuring the institution's compliance with accreditation requirements and fostering continuous improvement in educational programs.
Responsibilities
Documentation and Management
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records related to accreditation standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for accreditation reviews, including compiling evidence of compliance and drafting reports.
  • Update Annual Report data sets with current and prior year data.
  • Upload annual program data into Nuventive.
  • Maintain and retrieve data from student management software.
Data Collection
  • Coordinate data collection efforts to support ongoing assessment activities.
  • Assist with sharing assessment data and generating reports that support accreditation and program improvement efforts.
  • Revise, distribute, monitor, and report on assessment and accreditation surveys.
Communication Liaison
  • Serve as point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding data collection.
  • Participate in accreditation related meetings as needed.
Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accreditation and assessment processes, proposing and implementing improvements as appropriate.
  • Stay informed about changes in accreditation standards and best practices in assessment methodologies to ensure compliance and enhance effectiveness.
Training and Support
  • Provide guidance and support to staff members regarding accreditation data and assessment activities, including training on relevant processes and procedures.
Administrative Support
  • Assist in scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes during accreditation meetings.
  • Update and maintain OneDrive file organization for the Office of Accreditation and Assessment
Required Qualifications
  • Experience in providing administrative support in a professional office.
  • Bachelor's degree required (master's degree preferred) in a relevant field (e.g., Public Policy or Business Administration).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in accreditation or assessment.
Desired Qualifications
  • Proficient in Canvas, SPSS, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Will Train
