Join our winning team as aProject Technicianfor EDC/VCM, located inOyster Creek, TX. The Project Technician leads the plant-level improvement process by gathering and analyzing data, evaluating improvement opportunities, and implementing both like for like equipment replacements and improvement projects. This role ensures plant projects align with business objectives via the Plant Specific Technology Plan to close performance and reliability gaps, reduce costs, and increase productivity (capacity creep, reliability, etc.). In addition, the Project Technician provides both expense and capital project support, which may include filling various roles in the global project execution work processes, such as construction manager, manufacturing representative, Six Sigma green/black belt, etc.

Project Technician Essential Job Functions:

  • Project planning including developing scope, justification, timeline, budget, resource allocation, and adhering to regulatory and Environmental and Health standards
  • Participate in troubleshooting, coaching others, and ensuring findings are documented for future usage
  • Implement best practices to optimize operations and process controls, including owning the pipeline and tracking tools and recording changes to Plant Operating procedures
  • Partner with plant operations to generate process data for identifying technology gaps, improvement opportunities, develop job scope, and technical execution support turning turnarounds, start-ups, and shutdowns
  • Manage, participate, improve, and document multiple project management work processes
Project TechnicianMinimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 10+ years of project ormanufacturing experience
  • Work experience with managing vendor proposals and quotes, contractor bids, and development of desired solutions for projects preferred
  • Ability to train and certify on areas of the plant and serve on plant on-call rotation
  • Knowledge of OSHA 1910.119 PSM standard preferred
  • Ability to understand and update plant drawings (PID, Isometrics, Equipment), Olin's Capital Projects Management System (CPMS), and Olin's management of change system (eMOC)
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid US driver's license
  • Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred
