Responsibilities

PeopleTec is currently seeking an Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Force Operations Development Team Product Owner (PO) to support our Huntsville, AL location.

The Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Force Operations Team Product Owner (PO) will work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO). The PO will be responsible for the prioritization and validation of the development software for the Force Operations team. The position will include reviewing and understanding Systems Engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms and providing guidance to the development team. The product owner will work with Program management in setting priorities for the capabilities and defects for the team for each product increment and sprint. The position will include technical briefings and advisement to leadership on status and recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

    Must have a basic understanding of Force Operations (FO) concepts to include asset protection, development and analysis of courses of action (COA), operation plans and orders, and airspace control orders and measures.

  • Must have the ability provide oversight to FO SW development team and verify the teams work based on agreed upon acceptance criteria.

  • Must be able to work directly with the Agile software developers.

  • Must be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset
  • Have a minimum of 7 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above
  • Travel: 10 %
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.

Education Requirements:

  • Have a Bachelor's degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences or mathematics,

Desired Qualifications:

  • An additional plus is knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS and familiar with current FO implementations in one or more of the DoD services.
  • Prior Product Owner experience on a SCRUM team is a plus.
