About DAS Medical:

DAS Medical, a UFP Technologies company, is a is a contract manufacturer specializing in the design, development, and manufacturing of single-use surgical robotic draping systems, equipment covers, and fluid control pouches.

Location: Kennesaw, Georgia

Program Timeline / Hours:

  • Start date will be late May / early June
  • Expected completion of the internship is late August or early September 2024
  • Full time (40 hours): Monday - Friday
  • We are not currently offering housing / transportation. Candidates should be within driving distance (45 min).
Job Summary

As an Accounting Intern, you will work under the guidance of experienced accountants and managers, gaining real-world experience in various aspects of accounting. This role involves a variety of tasks, from accounts receivable collections to assisting with budgeting and auditing. You will develop a comprehensive understanding of the accounting operations in a corporate environment.

Responsibilities
  • Accounts Receivable: Aid in collections by contacting customers, tracking payments, and reconciling accounts.
  • Accounts Payable: Update records, perform reconciliations, and ensure timely payment of invoices.
  • Expense Analysis: Support monthly expense analysis by gathering data, identifying discrepancies, and suggesting process improvements.
  • Inventory and Costing: Assist in reviewing inventory records to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Financial Projects: Participate in budgeting, financial reporting, and auditing as needed.
  • General Support: Perform additional duties as assigned by the accounting team.
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Work Authorization: Must be a U.S. Citizen, National, lawful permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States. Applicants must not require sponsorship for an employment visa, now or in the future.
